An option is available to set up a payment or a deduction for an employee before you actually process that particular pay period. You can select any future pay period in advance to set up a future payment or deduction.
To access this utility, click Payroll:
1) Select the pay period
Select the pay period you wish to start the future payment or deduction from.
2) Select the Employee
From the employee listing, select the employee for whom you want to schedule the future payment.
3) Pay Details
To schedule a change to an employee’s periodical pay, click the Add icon within the Pay section. Select the type of pay you wish to enter and enter the amount accordingly.
4) Additions
To schedule an addition for the pay period chosen, click the Add icon within the Additions and Deductions section. Select the type of addition you require e.g. additional pay, bonus, commission etc. and enter the amount accordingly.
You can now edit the frequency of this scheduled addition by clicking the Edit icon beside it. The addition can be set to be for this period only, to repeat until manually removed or to repeat up to and including a period specified by the user.
5) Deductions
To schedule a deduction for the specified pay period chosen, click the Add icon within the Additions and Deductions section. Select the type of deduction you require e.g. pension (please refer to the help section for more information on pensions), AOE’s, allowable deductions etc. and enter the amount accordingly.
You can now edit the frequency of this scheduled deduction by clicking the Edit icon beside it. The deduction can be set to be for this period only, to repeat until manually removed or to repeat up to and including a period specified by the user.
6) Statutory Payments
To schedule statutory payments for the specified pay period, click the Calendar button.
In the Calendar, select the date range you wish to apply the statutory payment for (please refer to the help section for more information on Statutory Payments)
