Importing from HMRC Basic PAYE Tools
In this tutorial we will demonstrate how to import company and employee details from HMRC basic PAYE tools.
To import your company and employee details, simply click on the ‘Import’ button at the bottom of the ‘Open Employer’ screen and select “Import from HRMC basic PAYE tools”
The location of your Basic tools data base will open on screen. Select the SQLite3 data base file and select “Open”.
If you have more than one company set up on Basic tools you will be given the option of which companies you wish to import. If you only have one company this will import automatically.
Once the import process is completed you will then be able to open you new BrightPay company file and start processing payroll.
Please note, BrightPay will automatically import employee mid year totals today. These can be seen in the Mid year totals tab in the Employee section.
