To request to cancel leave through your Employee Self Service portal:
1) Select 'the spanner' beside the leave type and dates you wish to cancel and select 'Request Cancellation' when accessing the full calendar.
2) Select what you wish to do cancel - the entire period of leave or select the dates of leave to cancel.
3) If you select you wish to select dates of leave to cancel select the Dates you wish to cancel. Enter any supporting reason or comment regarding the leave, if required. If you select the entire period of leave all dates will be on the cancellation request.
4) Click 'Submit' to send the request for cancelling leave for approval.
Your requested days of leave for cancellation will still show on your calendar as leave until this is approved, and your employer will receive a notification with the details of your request for approval. When the cancellation leave request is approved the dates will be removed from your calendar.
If your leave request is approved by your employer/manager, you will receive email notification confirming this. Your calendar will be updated accordingly to show the approval for the cancelling of leavel. Should your leave be rejected, you will receive email notification confirming this.
You will be able to view your leave request history at the bottom of the screen in the Calendar section. You can see the status of each request, the type of request and if any comments have been made.
You can add a comment to any pending request by selecting the blue comment box opposite the request. The employer/manager will get a notification of the comment added to the request. If the employer/manager makes a comment to the pending request you will get a notification of the comment being added.
